The Reason Why I Will Be Watching ANTM Again

Imagine my surprise when I found myself not only on the couch last night with the tv on, but tuned into Vh1 and not the usual CNN. I’ll be honest, I was trying to catch some of the tea from LHH Miami. I have basically been on a reality tv sabbatical since 2013 with no intentions of returning. But alas, there I was. Only able to catch the last few minutes, almost serendipitously America’s Next Top Model was on my screen. Immediately, I was taken back to the time where I couldn’t wait for the next episode of ANTM. Drawn in by the impeccable filming and editing, I got comfortable.

6 Stylists, 1 Winner: Battle of the Sexes

Indie Fashion Week, DC kicked of this Monday with #ModelMondayz, "Battle of the Sexes", a networking social and styling competition at Exhale Lounge and Bar in the District. Sponsored by Mountain Dew Black Label, I was ecstatic to be invited to judge the competition as part of the Style Committee. Upon my arrival at the dual-level comfy and classy space, models were being dressed and prepped for what I'd like to deem a stylish free-for-all! Creative silhouettes and layering dominated the competition which had a theme of Contemporary Vintage.

Carpe Diem with Virgil Abloh

Thanks to the powers of social media, I was made aware of an appearance by none other than Virgil Abloh in D.C. this past Friday. Without a partner in crime or a right hand man, I hemmed and hawed about whether or not to go. This is the same day I posted on my social media about "Carpe Diem", you know, seizing the day. So at 11:30, I pulled up my big girl pants and hit the road.

Yeezy Season 4

I have to admit, when I first saw the notice for the Yeezy Season 4 casting call, I felt some type of way. It was a familiar feeling when it comes to Kanye West--here we go again. I found myself checking my loyalty as a fan, but I had to, once again, stop and ask: what is the "deeper" meaning?
