ICYMI: Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. Tour and Pop-up in DC

Kendrick Lamar touched down in Washington, DC on July 21st for The DAMN. Tour, but not before he held an exclusive, one-day-only pop-up shop. Filled with merch, M Street "popped" with hundreds of die-hard fans waiting in line--some got in line as early as 5am!

From hats to concert t-shirts, fans were able to grab their favorite piece before heading to the Verizon Center for the actual show.

I was on hand for the epic show that was not without its own bit of controversy. Opener Travis Scott was no where to be seen for his set. Rumors swirled about his absence, from alleged arrest to murmurs of a glitch with his infamous floating bird stage, fans were understandably disappointed.

However, Kendrick put on a show for the ages including his top hits, king-fu artists, cinematic segways, explosions and moving projectors. It was definitely well worth the wait to witness a legend in action. Be sure to catch The DAMN. Tour when it stops in your city.

ICYMI, here are some dope shots from the pop-up shop held at UBIQ in the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C. Photos are provided by Curtis Thurston of District Empire Entertainment.
